Warehouses are an appealing target for a burglar. Great quantities of high value goods are gathered in one location and often placed in an industrial area, where there will be fewer people around to disturb the intruders if they act overnight or at the weekend. With the Christmas period rapidly approaching, the issue of warehouse security becomes particularly pertinent, as warehouses are often left unattended from Christmas Eve right through until the New Year. This, of course, becomes the perfect time for a thief to strike.

In light of the UK’s recent policing cuts, the British public is becoming increasingly concerned for its residential security and may even be considering the systems available to ensure that they can continue to feel safe in their own homes.

In 2016, the cost of retail crime was £660 million, £438 million of which arose from customer theft. 15% of retailers rated police performance as either “poor” or “very poor”. It is therefore important that retailers do everything possible to protect themselves against crime. We are looking to find the best retail security systems for the job, from traditional systems to a newer alternative.

POLICE area appealing for information following a burglary at a jewellers in Ringwood.Two people forced entry, via a window, to Allum & Sidaway on the High Street on Tuesday evening. The offenders, who were both wearing hooded tops and had their faces covered, entered the shop and targeted Pandora jewellery. The SmokeCloak then activated and the offenders left empty handed.
